  • What to Do if my Flight is Delayed or Canceled

Flight delays, cancellations or diversions may sometimes be occasioned by weather, air traffic control, operational or service considerations. When this happens, we will endeavor to notify ticketed passengers and the public if the status of a flight changes. A change in the flight’s status is a cancellation, diversion, or a delay of more than 30 minutes. We will notify passengers and the public of any flight status changes within 30 minutes of learning of the change through all means available to us. We will make available the most current, accurate information about passengers’ flight’s status, and will do the following.

Whether you’re flying for work or leisure, getting to your destination on time is something most travelers take for granted? However, airport construction and security issues make trip disruptions more common than you may think.

The arrival times for flights are not as accurate as for trains. There will always be some variance and professional drivers should be aware of this. When the chartered vehicles travel from their company garage to the airport, they usually check if your flight are delayed on the internet or flight apps before dispatching, so you need not worry if your flight is slightly delayed.

We will notify you changes of flights as soon as possible according to your contacts in your booking, and keep you posted

We will rebook you to next available Airways flights or an alternative airline to your destination shown on the ticket within reasonable time without additional charge. If the fare and charges for the revised routing are lower than what you have paid, we shall refund the difference.

During flight delayed or cancelled, we will provide you essential service such as accommodation, meals, ground transportation as the situation requires.

If you don’t wish to travel, you can cancel your booking and get a refund from your original form of payment. If you booked through travel agents, please contact them to make refund; if you booked on Uganda Airways website, please make refund online or contact Uganda Airways offices

Stay Alert for Flight Notifications, on your travel day, check your flight status online using the airline’s app or a third-party app like Flight Aware Flight Tracker. The latter of these two stores your travel itinerary for added convenience. Delays of 30 minutes or longer will show on the airport’s flight status displays, but these apps often send real-time alerts sooner. When coping with a flight disruption, timing is everything.

If you are still anxious, we recommend doing the following. First, please contact the operating company and driver if you have not boarded the plane and you are able to make contact because it’s a sign of unity or connections between the two of you.

Secondly, if you are experiencing delays during your flight, you are obviously unable to make contact from the plane. In this case, please contact the driver directly after you arrive in Uganda.

In the unlikely event of a major flight delay or cancellation, please be sure to contact the service provider and the driver. It is advisable to make contact as soon as possible, as cancellation fees may apply.

Cancellation policy, for a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours in advance of the start date of the experience.

In conclusion Airport transfer companies can understand every situation their Client is passing through and alert them in time in order to wait for you in case of delay or extend to another day in case of cancellation of the flight.

  • Air Travel Rules: Traveling With Tools

Are you a handyman by trade? If so, it is likely that you have grown accustomed to carrying your tools around with you, wherever you go. In fact, there is also a chance that you may need to travel with them. Whether you are traveling for business purposes or not, it is important to know that the airline industry as a specific set of air travel rules concerning tools. If you are planning on bringing your tools along with you, you will want to take the time to familiarize yourself with these rules. Doing so may prove helpful, in more ways than one.

Before examining the tools that are not allowed aboard an airline and those that are, it is important to know one thing, there are different types of rules. Most airlines do not strictly prohibit you from carry tools with you, but they do restrict you from carry them at certain times. For instance, you will find that a large number of tools can be stored in your checked baggage, but they are prohibited from being stored in your carry-on luggage. If, at anytime, you are confused about these bans, you are advised to contact your airline for additional information.

One group of tools that are banned from carry-on luggage includes sharp objects. With the recent focus on airport security, you should already be well aware of this type of ban. Saws, saw blades, drills, and box cutters are banned from all airplane cabins. Essentially, this means that you cannot store these items in your carry-on luggage; however, they can be packed in your checked baggage. Since all baggage, including the bags that you do not plan on keeping with you at all times, needs to be searched, you are advised to properly secure these tools. Not doing so may result in an air airline employee receiving an injury that could have been prevented.

In addition to tools with sharp edges, there is also a carry-on luggage ban on tools that could be used as a deadly weapon. These tools include axes, hatchets, cattle prods, hammers, and crowbars. This ban is mostly imposed due to the size and weight of these items. As with most other tools, the airline industry will allow you to store these heavy tools in your checked baggage.

Although it may seem as if all tools are banned from your carry-on luggage, that is not the case. There are a number of tools can be stored in your carry-on luggage. These tools commonly include screwdrivers and pliers. Additional tools may also be allowed, but they must not have been mentioned above. It is also required that these tools be no more than seven inches long. In the event that they are longer than seven inches, you will have to make additional accommodations.

Despite the fact that certain tools can be stored in your carry-on luggage, it may be a good idea to put these items in your checked baggage or leave them at home. Even though these items are allowed, you may raise suspicion from having them with you aboard a plane. That suspicion may not necessity come from airport security officials, but it may come from other passengers. With the way that the world works today, it may be best if you refrain from including these tools in your carry-on luggage, unless you absolutely need them.

  • What To Know About Your Checked Baggage

What To Know About Your Checked Baggage

When it comes to air travel, many travelers are more concerned with their carry-on luggage than they are with their bags that will be handed over to airport staff. These bags, commonly referred to as checked baggage, are just as important, if not more important, than your carry-on luggage. For this reason, there are a number of different factors that you should take into consideration, when packing your bags for your next flight.

One mistake that many travelers make, when it comes to checked baggage, is including prohibited items in their bag. In addition to prohibited items, there have also been instances of travelers trying to hide illegal items in their checked luggage. Although it may seem like a good idea at the time, it isn’t. In fact, with today’s airport security screening, it is virtually impossible for you to get away with storing prohibited or illegal items inside your checked baggage more information. This is mostly due to the fact that the screening process has dramatically changed from what it was in the past, say ten years ago.

In the past, certain airlines only randomly searched checked baggage. Many times, these searches were only implemented if airline officials or airport security had probable cause. Today, all bags are checked, including your checked luggage. Most checks will quickly be done, but, in some cases, more extensive searches may be conducted. A quick check of your luggage may include rummaging through all of your belongings, looking for anything out of the ordinary. An extensive search could include searching all of your clothing pockets and baggage compartments. In the event that you are subject to one of those checks, it is likely that you will be caught if you are trying to conceal a cigarette lighter or other prohibited items.

Since your bags will be checked, all of them, you are advised against locking your baggage before heading to the airport. After your bags have been properly screened, some airlines will allow you to replace the locks on your checked baggage, but not all will. For this reason, you may want to reconsider storing expensive items, such as electronic equipment, in your bags. In addition to the possibility of theft, you will find that items packed inside your checked luggage are at a higher risk for being damaged then those that are in your carry-on bags.

When packing your bags, which will be checked at the airport, it is also advised that you carefully pack them. There are a number of items, including sharp objects, which are prohibited from being stored in your carry-on luggage, but those items can be placed in your checked baggage. As previously mentioned, airport security will likely examine those bags. Even during a quick examination, they will rummage through your belongings. For that reason, you are advised to properly package and secure all items that can be considered dangerous, such as those with sharp edges or points. This extra precaution may not only affect your safety, when you to go unpack your bags, but the safety of all airport security officials, especially those screening your luggage.

By taking the time to familiarize yourself with all travel rules, including the airport screening process, you should be able to pack your bags for your next flight, the right way. The wrong way, although you may not necessarily think about it at the time, could have serious consequences.

  • Tips for an Easy and Comfortable Day of Airline Travel

These days airline travel can be hit or miss when it comes to the level of difficulty and distress that can be presented. Sometimes, I get myself all worked up for what I think is going to be a day of having to take things out of my bag, and stand in lines, and eventually sit for a few hours before I do it again. Sometimes, I am right and that is exactly how it turns out.

Other times I am so excited to be going on whatever trip I am embarking on that I do not even care about the potential roadblocks that may be arise. The best times are when I am completely surprised and caught off guard by what feels like a seamless and comfortable day of travel.

However, this is usually the result of careful planning on my part to help my day go a little smoother. If you are interested in learning a few tips and tricks to help your next travel experience go a little better than the last, then keep reading for some helpful tips.

It is All About the Shoes

If you have ever struggled to get a lace up boot off and on again during the security check at an airline, then you know the importance of great travel shoe. It is no fun to feel like you are holding up other people, and even worse potentially missing your flight, due to poor shoe choice. My issue however, is that my feet often get cold on the airplane. I quickly realized that this problem could be forgotten in order to wear a better shoe as long as a pack a pair of warm and comfy socks in my carryon.

The best types of shoes are slip on and have the ability to be easily removed without much hassle. Velcro, elastic, and flip flops are your friends here. I would highly recommend getting a great pair of shoes from The Walking Company. The one thing that does sometimes prevent me from wearing a great shoe is the fact that I need to wear my largest and/or heaviest shoe so that I can save room in my luggage. There are not many ways to get around this one unless you can tie or strap them to your carryon.

    Pack Your Own Snacks

I am a pretty picky eater but mostly because I am not a fan of super processed foods. I guess personally, I am a fan, however my stomach is not. This means that if I do not bring at least a few of my own snacks or meals that I may end of hungry because I refuse to eat something that will make me feel even worse. As you can imagine, this does not make for a very pleasant travel day.

Save yourself the head ache and the fast food belly ache by packing a few of your own snacks. Nuts, raisons, granola bars are all great options. A bag of chips, a pre-made sandwich, or some fruit are some of my other favorite travel snacks.

  • Commandments For Cheap Flight Tickets

    Commandments For Cheap Flight Tickets

Cheap flights tickets are one of the best facilities or offers, offered by the airline companies or travel companies. But, there are certain commandments for these tickets, which you have to follow if you want to get benefited by them to the maximum.  Some of them are as following.

If you are a regular flyer, you must get the cheap ticket for the flight, from the same company by which you travel frequently, if they are offering this facility. In this manner, if there would be even no availability of seat, the airline company would find some way out since you are the regular customer.

Secondly, it is always advised to do an online survey for ticket pricing in order to get the most cheap ticket facility available. Another commandment is that, if you have to get a discount ticket for international flights, then it’s always better to prefer national airline of the destination country as there would be less taxes for national airline as compared to the other international carriers.

Always get cheap flight tickets, in the lean season. The travel seasons are divided into three main seasons, high, low and shoulder, so always prefer the low season as it would be able to save your money up to thirty percent. It’s better to book round trip rather than one way trip, as it could be more economical. So, if you would follow these commendations as much as possible, you are likely to be benefited from this cheap ticket service to a great extent.

  • Essentials to Pack in Hand Luggage for Long Haul Flight

Essentials to Pack in Hand Luggage for Long Haul Flight

Wondering about what to pack for a long haul flight? Though there are lots of things, there are some essentials that you should not forget. So what are they?

While many major airlines will provide you with toothbrush kit, but it’s always good to carry your own which has softer bristles and your preferred toothpaste. It’s going to be handy as well for the duration of your trip where you want to spend your entire day outside.

I usually bring one or two underwears and if necessary a bra as well. It’s always good to wake up from the uncomfortable night’s sleep and change into a fresh pair of underwear. Also, UTI (Urinary Tract Infections) is common with people on holiday because they sometimes neglect their feminine hygiene.

Go into the plane with a comfortable shirt that you can sleep in, but make sure that you have at least a clean top to change into the next morning before you get off from the plane. It’s not always necessary to change into a new top, but sometimes it’s a good idea and it always comes in handy to have a spare top (at least) inside the cabin bag. Just in case.

    4. Wet tissue or powder sheet

Of course it’s one thing that we women never forget to bring. To rehydrate my skin after hours inside the plane I usually use Menard Beauness Facial Spa that is so simple, I just need to spray it around 15 cm from my face and leave it to dry. Afterward, I will brush a veil of powder foundation, a bit of pink blush and lip gloss. Et voila, I’m ready for my next adventure

  • 7 Valuable Things You Should Always Wear on a Plane

7 Valuable Things You Should Always Wear on a Plane

Traveling by plane can be a bit uncomfortable. After all the space is limited. Here are 7 valuable things you should always wear on a plane to give you comfort. One of the most familiar and convenient mode of traveling is Air travel It has become a popular method and part of life for many travelers. The reason is because it saves a lot of time moving from continent to continent, country to country and city to city, it’s often fun and exciting, and it definitely beats spending days in a car fighting traffic.

Traveling by plane can also become a bit uncomfortable. After all, you’re seated in limited space with at least a hundred other people for an extended period of time. That’s why it’s so important to know how to dress for the flight.

This article takes a look at how to dress when taking a plane to your destination. Because dressing comfortably can make all the difference. Keep reading to learn some useful travel tips we have included in this article. Here is 7 valuable things you should always wear on a plane.

    1. A Backpack

Whether you’re traveling for business or pleasure, a small backpack makes the perfect carry on for a flight of any length. Small packs are great because they can be easily stowed in the overhead compartment or beneath your seat.

This way you don’t have to check your bag, which saves both time and money. Plus it’s easy to carry around. A backpack also provides extra pockets for storage, a place to keep your neck pillow, books, or electronic devices for the flight.

They also make boarding the plane a breeze, because you can hook a strap over your shoulder to keep it out of the way as you shuffle down the narrow aisle.

    2. Dress in Layers

Everyone has a different internal thermostat. Some people run hot, while others run cold and easily get chilly. Experienced travelers quickly learn the value of dressing in layers. This travel tip solves the problem of dressing too light or too heavy for a flight.

After all, how many times have you worn a T-shirt and starting freezing the minute you boarded the plane? Or you wore a heavy sweater, and thus sweated profusely the entire flight.

Dressing in layers allows you to adjust your clothing based on your comfort level throughout the flight. Regardless of how you’re dressed when you board, you can make adjustments as you heat up or cool down. The key is to bring along a light jacket or cardigan, or even a wrap or sweatshirt.

These types of items are easy to put on or take off so that you’ll always remain totally comfortable while in the air.

    3. Breathable Fabrics

Clothing made from breathable fabrics will help you stay comfortable. Fabrics like cotton, silk, or linen allow air and moisture to efficiently pass right through rather than absorbing it.

This is especially crucial for anyone with a tendency to sweat a lot. Wearing breathable fabrics will help keep your body dry, which will help make your flight as pleasant as possible.

    4. Wireless Bra

Next, let’s spend a moment talking about comfort for the ladies. Spending time on a crowded plane isn’t exactly the most comfortable situation, especially if you’re in business or economy class.

That’s why it’s important for women to look for every way possible to maximize comfort. This includes the type of bra that you wear on the flight.

Wearing a wireless bra is a travel tip that you need to put at the top of your list and underline twice. Because even though you might want to look your very best at all times, it’s hard to put a price on personal comfort during a long flight.

Underwire bras might not be the most popular fashion choice, but we recommend exploring the back of your dresser drawer for the type of undergarments you might save mostly for the weekend.

Keep in mind that you can always change into something a bit more fashionable and supportive when you land. This might not seem like a big deal, but give it a try and you can thank us later.

    5. Comfortable Slip-On Shoes

The typical traveler spends a lot of time on their feet. This is a simple fact of life. Even though you’ll be spending an hour or more seated on the flight, you’ll have to get to the airport, shuffle through security, and then march across acres of airport terminal to find your gate. This can be an exhausting process.

That’s why it’s important to wear comfortable shoes. This will make your day much more pleasant. Another good tip is to wear slip-ons, which will help expedite your trip through security.

And for women who prefer to wear heels, go ahead and bring them along, but stow them inside your bag so that you can change out of your comfortable shoes after you’ve reached your destination.

    6. Be Stylish

And lastly, always make an effort to look your best. Dressing stylishly for a flight will make you feel confident because you’ll look great, and it’s a sign of respect to your fellow travelers.

Yes, you want to be as comfortable as possible during the flight, and yet comfort doesn’t have to translate to looking like a total mess. So skip the tank top, shorts, and flip-flops, and dress like a mature adult instead.

    7. Clothes with Plenty of Pockets

It’s easy to forget stuff when traveling. And it’s usually the little things that you can’t live without. Like charger cords, cash, passport, keys, reading glass and other such items.

So try to make it a point to wear clothes with lots of pockets. This provides plenty of places to keep things handy so they’ll always be within reach when you need them.
